Sendika.Org editor Ali Ergin Demirhan has been taken into custody on the grounds that the news titled “We can stop dictatorship” and his social media comments.

The attacks against social opposition and alternative-opponent media has reached to Sendika.Org in the last month to 24 June elections.

Sendika.Org editor Ali Ergin Demirhan has been taken into custody on the grounds that “making terror propaganda” in the news titled “We can stop dictatorship” and his social media comments.

Ali Ergin Demirhan announced the custody in his Twitter account by writing that “Our news titled ‘We can stop dictatorship’ has been counted as ‘terror propaganda’. I am in custody.”

Demirhan was taken firstly to Mecidiyeköy Police Station and then to Çağlayan Courthouse.

After giving statement in prosecutor’s office, Demirhan was released.
